In this lecture we will make visible how light, color and darkness can be recognized in the human being as thinking, feeling and willing. The human being is the microcosmic reflection of the macrocosmic principles of light, color and darkness. In this way, creation arises anew in every human being.

Light and darkness are polarities, through polarity movement is created.

Without polarity, there would be no life.

Light and darkness, as the original principles, are creative forces.

The movement that results from their interacting is visible as color.

Before color even appears, the original creators light and darkness are active! In in the following workshop we learn to make these processes visible.

INSTRUCTOR

Roland Tiller

Roland Tiller was born in 1970 in Klosterneuburg/Vienna, Austria and grew up in Munich and Vienna. He studied graphic design and painting. Through the encounter with the painter Arik Brauer in the 1980’s and Prof. Ernst Fuchs in Vienna, his desire was confirmed to dive deeper into the world of color. In the 1990’s Roland studied painting in the Netherlands with Liane Collot d'Herbois. She developed the color knowledge of J.W. von Goethe and Rudolf Steiner further to a deeper spiritual understanding and practical use in painting.

Since then he has worked as a freelance visual artist, lecturer and international seminar instructor for painting. He also founded the Light–Colour–Darkness Academy, an international online academy for healing painting. Today he lives near Cologne in Germany.

Exhibitions of Roland’s paintings have taken place in various countries, including:

the Goetheanum in Dornach/Switzerland,
"Faith in Art" in the Valkenburg Museum in Maastricht/Netherlands,
"Between Heaven and Earth" in Vienna/Austria.

In the last 20 years Roland also has been active with various projects and commissions for interior design, and paintings, always focusing on color and the relationship between humankind, the earth and the cosmos.
